5 Introvert-Approved Activities to do at Home

I don’t know about you, but my weekends have taken a turn lately. Given the current state of things, I’m spending all of my time at home. Honestly, it’s an introvert’s dream. But even then, sometimes I miss going to the bar. I definitely miss going to concerts and the gym.

If you’re spinning your wheels trying to figure out what to do from the comfort of your homes, then we’ve got a guide for you. Read on for my favorite ways to spend my time at home!

Spend Time with Your Pets

Play with them, love them, take them on walks. Seriously, my favorite thing to do is curl up in my bed with my cat by my side. I’ve been known to leave parties because it’s time to get back to Pip Squeak, so this is on brand for me. But honestly, my cat is living his best life at the moment. Constant cuddles, pets, play time and human attention. And his unconditional love is the best mood booster.

Binge Watch A TV Show or Start a Movie Marathon

Netflix watch parties have become all the rage. But I’ve been watching series long distance for years. CC: Gilmore Girls Year in the Life and my mom. It’s a fun time. It’s a great way to decompress. Start a new series, rewatch an old one, or finally watch all the Marvel movies in order like you’ve been talking about for years. The possibilities are endless.

Cross Some Books Off Your TBR List

I don’t know about you, but my TBR list is ever-expanding. In fact, I’ve dedicated an entire shelf of my bookcase to reads I know I need to check off the list, but haven’t gotten around to yet. Now’s the time (and the perfect escape). Or reread your favorite book for the 20th time – no judgment here.

Learn Something New

Take an online class (I hear Yale has a pretty great one), try that hobby you want to try. If you want to bake (more power to you) go forth and conquer. If you want to try a new workout class – do it now. Popsugar and Obe Fitness have some pretty great ones. If you want to take up editing, photography, drawing, writing – now’s your chance. I’ve wanted to take up dance again for years. Being stuck at home has me combining my workouts with online tutorials. Who knows if I’m any good, but it’s sure as hell fun.

Make Some Inroads on Your To-Do List

Yes, I had to put this on here. I need one responsible offering. And hopefully, it will inspire me to do just that. Clean out your closet, get rid of the candle jars, get your finances in order, do the laundry. Use this time to evaluate, reevaluate, or get your shit together if you so desire.

I’m sure there’s more you can do, but this at least gives you a starting point. So, cheers to the weekend, some quiet time, and your favorite pass time. You deserve it!
